Boesch Boats, Kilchberg, Switzerland

Boesch has been building mahogany motorboats in Kilchberg on Lake Zurich since 1920. The commission for the centenary: photographs for The Boesch Horizon, the company’s anniversary project. The work in the yard – hull forms, bronze propellers, templates worn smooth by use – made the craft visible without explaining it. Three generations of the Boesch family still run the operation. Some things about the place have not changed.
