Universitätsspital Basel commissioned photography for their annual report, covering three innovation areas: AI-assisted diagnostics, virtual reality applications, and robot-guided laser surgery. Each subject required a different approach – the VR sequences shot in controlled conditions, the surgical robotics under live clinical lighting. USB is among Switzerland’s largest medical centers, and the brief called for images that showed the technology without reducing the people using it to background detail.
