Busan, South Korea

Cityscape photography of Busan, South Korea’s second city, built around the largest container port in the country and one of the ten largest in the world. These photographs were made on a weekend between assignments, without a brief and without a deadline. The view is from above: the city, its harbour and the surrounding hills held in a single frame.

The city separates into its parts: housing blocks pushed against the slopes, motorway viaducts, cranes and freighters in the basin. Only from height does the scale become readable, which is why we made this Busan cityscape photography from above.
