ISS, Switzerland

ISS is one of the largest facility management companies in Switzerland, operating across hundreds of sites. The assignment was employer branding photography at three locations: the EPFL campus in Lausanne, the Zurich Insurance Group headquarters in Zurich, and the Westside complex in Bern. Each site brought its own architecture and working conditions. The brief was the same throughout: photograph the people who keep these buildings running.

The three buildings have nothing in common architecturally, so the constant in the ISS employee portrait photography had to be the way people were photographed: same light, same distance, same attention, whether on a campus, in an office tower or in a shopping complex. Everything was made during operating hours, around the work rather than instead of it.

During the Covid-19 shutdown, ISS commissioned a documentary series in a different register.
