Panalpina, Findel Airport, Luxembourg

Panalpina commissioned freighter photography for their annual report at Luxembourg’s Findel Airport, one of their key European air freight hubs. We worked both sides of the tarmac. Inside, the logistics of loaded freighters. Outside, the aircraft on the apron. Findel handles a concentrated volume of cargo traffic. The brief asked for two things at once: the operation at scale, and the people inside it.

Airside access is granted in windows and withdrawn without notice, which shaped the planning more than the light did. The Panalpina freighter photography covered apron and terminal in the same shift, so that the scale of the operation and the people running it came out of one continuous take.
