Shenyang Yuanda Compressor Foundry, Shenyang, China

SYCC operates its own foundry in Shenyang, where compressor components are cast on site. The assignment documented the full process – from molten metal to finished castings – under the conditions of an active production facility: heat, dust, open furnaces, and shift workers at close range. The foundry supplies the adjacent manufacturing plant directly.

The foundry operates alongside the main SYCC compressor facility, shown separately. Photography from Burckhardt Compression sites in Winterthur, Ningbo, and Pune is also part of this collaboration.
