Burckhardt Compression, Pune, India

Burckhardt Compression commissioned us to photograph its Pune facility for the annual report. The collaboration spans years and several continents. Our brief set the range: employee portraits, the production hall, compressor systems on the assembly line, and the rooftop solar installations that power the site. India ranks among BC’s growth markets. The Pune photographs form one body of work with what we shot in Winterthur, Ningbo, Busan and Shenyang. A separate entry covers the SYCC foundry in Shenyang, where SYCC casts the compressor components on site.
