Burckhardt Compression, Busan, South Korea

Part of the long-running collaboration with Burckhardt Compression, this assignment took us to Busan, South Korea’s largest port. The brief called for an LPG gas carrier photographed at sea – a vessel of the kind BC builds compressor systems for. The ship we wanted never left the harbour. We photographed it there and moved it back out to sea in post-production. Alongside the vessel, a portrait of one of the people behind the work, made on a street near the port.
